MEDGE PLATFORMS means "Medical Edge Foundations for Imaging" Medge Platforms, Inc., (MPI) is a United States based company located in New York, NY. MPI was created by a consortium with extensive experience in scientific software development. Our name expresses our philosophy: Development of advanced Clinical Tools based on cutting edge Software, our Image Processing Software Platforms.OUR MISSION We are committed to developing High Complexity Software, able to run on conventional inexpensive PC’s, that perform like High End Workstations.OUR VISION The use of conventional Hardware (“off the shelf PC's”) running FDA approved Medical Software that can keep the installed imaging equipment at its peak Clinical performance. Our Software Platforms avoid obsolescence at a fraction of the cost that traditionally plagues the medical industry.The major breakthrough in Medical Imaging Technology is not as much hardware related as it is Software related. The evolution relies on the ability to process the acquired images. For example, over the past 5 years Ultrasound Scanners have provided very good 2D quality images. These systems have the ability to last many years delivering excellent service as long as they have a consistent upgrade in their image processing capabilities. OUR HISTORY  The Group started operations 10 years ago developing and selling worldwide O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufacturer), Nuclear Medicine, and Radiology Software, having installed more than 400 SPECT Workstations. Deciding 3 years ago to create applications for the “end user”, the company adapted all the Nuclear Medicine Software expertise to upgrade the conventional U/S practice. In order to manage this product line, the Group founded Medge Platforms, Inc., (MPI), a Company devoted to the support of the “end user”. After an intensive R&D process, MPI installed the first SONOCUBIC™ 3D Ultrasound Software prototype in 1999. In February 2001 MPI started worldwide sales operations. MPI’s customer base is growing rapidly. Its excellent performance, low cost and ease of use is a “win-win” situation for distributors, customers, and especially the patients.
